The Rhinowares Compact Hand Grinder is a high quality stainless steel coffee grinder, designed specifically for AeroPress coffee drinkers.
It has been made to fit inside the AeroPress itself and includes a clever adaptor ring that allows brewers to grind coffee directly into the AeroPress device. This grinder is a great solution for grinding coffee on the go, frequent travel, work or even just at home.
The stainless steel compact design is resistant to corrosive elements and is easy to clean, maintaining a high level of hygiene over its lifetime. To clean, simply disassemble the grinder and wash with an old toothbrush in warm soapy water, then rinse with clean water and leave it to dry - this should be done at least once a month. Let the parts dry completely before reassembling.
The ceramic burrs inside the grinder guarantee consistent grind, which is crucial for producing a delicious cup of coffee. The grinder is also easily adjustable via a three-pronged nut on the bottom and each new setting adjustment will be indicated by click (which you will feel and hear).
To adjust the grind, first tighten the night all the way (this is the finest setting and gives you a starting point), then adjust accordingly; for example, to get to the AeroPress setting rotate the nut half way around or approximately 3 clicks. As another example, to grind for French Press, rotate the nut 1.5 times (approximately 11 clicks).

A couple of helpful hints for adjusting the appropriate grind:
- For grind to suit an AeropressTM, tighten nut all the way, then ease off half a turn
- For French Press, ease off 1.5 turns
- For a v60, tighten the burrs all the way, and then go half a turn back. Some further adjustments may be required from there depending on the specific beans used. The suggested ratio is 60g/litre.
- For a Moka pot, which is somewhere between drip and espresso, adjust your grind to the finest level (adjust so that the burrs are touching) then open up a notch or two.
Cleaning:
It's best to pull the grinder apart and give it a clean every 4 weeks, or more often if you are using darker roasts. Just use warm, soapy water and an old toothbrush to remove all residual coffee. Make sure to rinse with fresh water when finished and allow the parts to fully dry before reassembling.

Australian delivery is available to all areas via Australia Post. Crema Coffee Garage posts all orders within 1 - 2 business days of ordering ‘In Stock’ items. Items not in stock at time of ordering will ship within 1 - 2 business days of arriving at out warehouse.
