Rocket Giotto, Italy's Finest Home Coffee Machine

The Rocket Giotto range, originally branded as an ECM and then more recently as Rocket, is a beautifully crafted espresso machine still manufactured in the original factory in Milan, Italy. It has been on the Australian market for over 15 years and has been setting the standard for the home coffee machine market since.

For quite some time now, the Giotto has, and continues to be, the benchmark for domestic coffee machines go. It uses a heat exchange boiler, which is able to offer steam and espresso heat at the same time. Many of our customers (and even some of the Crema crew) have had their Giotto for a decade or longer and they're still going strong!

The design has changed very little over the years, with the most notable upgrade being the addition of a pump pressure gauge.

The latest version of the Giotto is the V3 PID which means that you can now easily change the temperature setting of the boiler via a PID control located behind the drip tray. This allows you to customise the temperature of the extraction to suit the roast level or origin of the coffee that you are using. The control readout indicates boiler temp and a table found in the operation manual will show how this relates to the temperature at the group head.

The key to the Rocket Giotto is that these machines are beautifully put together and the quality of the internal parts are first class.

There are certainly cheaper heat exchange machines on the market, but if you want to spend a few hundred dollars more you can get yourself an icon that will take pride of place in any home and produce memorable coffee moments for many years. These beautiful machines are definitely made to last.
