The Hario Syphon Technika 2 Cup Produces A Delicious Black Coffee At Home!
The Hario Syphon Technika 2 Cup coffee maker creates a refined black coffee, sometimes referred to as vacuum coffee, a name that is derived from the creation of a vacuum during the brewing process.
This 2 cup syphon coffee brewer from Hario includes a filter cloth, spirit burner, plastic stirring paddle with an integrated measuring scoop and a stand.
The syphon has remained a popular brewing method for a long time thanks to its elegant aesthetic, theatrical scientific process, stability and controllable temperature in the upper chamber.
To brew with the Hario Syphon Technika 2 Cup:
-Fill the bottom chamber with water and set to boil.
-Secure the cloth and metal filter in the top chamber using the hook.
-When water reaches boiling point, secure the top chamber to the bottom chamber.
-The air pressure will build in the bottom chamber and push the water up into the top.
-Once most of the water is in the top, add the coffee grounds to the water and stir.
-Brew and stir for up to 2 minutes, then take off the boil while stirring.
-Coffee will filter down into the bottom chamber through the cloth filter.
-Serve coffee from the bottom chamber.
The cloth filtered brews are capable of exceptional body and sweetness, as well as clarity and complexity. We love this brewing method for higher quality single origin coffees at lighter roast profiles.
It is important to keep the cloth clean and not to let them dry out. They are best kept submerged in water when not in use. Cloths can also be cleaned using espresso cleaner but must be rinsed thoroughly before re-using. Replacement cloths are also available here.
