The Hario Cold Brew Pot 600ml is the smaller version of the 1L coffee pot and is a simple way to produce delicious cold brew coffee at home.
This elegant Mizudashi Coffee Pot is made using a high quality heatproof glass body, with a polypropylene handle and strainer frame, and a polyester strainer mesh. Its’ small stature makes it perfect for brewing small quantities (around 600ml) of cold brew.
Cold brew has become increasingly popular over the past few years, due to the fact that is it a flavour-rich brew, it is silky smooth and high in caffeine, but has less than half the acidity of espresso and other hot brew methods.
To make 600ml of cold brew coffee in your Hario Cold Brew Pot, add 50g of your favourite coffee (ground) to 650ml of cold filtered water and let this steep for around 3-12 hours. How long you steep the coffee for will depend on how strong a flavour you would like. Once you have finished steeping the grind, let the filter drain and remove from pot – now enjoy!
To clean it is just as easy – chuck out your grind, rinse out your equipment, then put it in the dishwasher and go! Or if you don’t have a dishwasher, you can just wash it with the rest of your dishes.
Some people like to drink cold brew black, while others like to add a dash of milk or flavouring. You can also add cold brew to a range of recipes to make iced coffees, coffee flavoured desserts or baked goods, coffee cocktails, or just drink it as is!
