Australia's First National Barista Day!

Almond Breeze Barista Blend has announced the launch of Australia’s first National Barista Day to be commemorated on 1 March 2019.

Almond Breeze Barista Blend is looking to make National Barista Day an annual event for Australians to nominate their favourite barista, or even themselves, for a cash prize at their Baristas for Baristas site.

To this end, the company has arranged a panel of industry experts to judge the entries and decide the winners, with the prize pool including time with a world-leading barista champion and access to a global platform to help support and inspire future generations of baristas.

“With the barista being the tenth fastest growing job in Australia and with there currently being over 40,000 baristas in Australia, Almond Breeze Barista Blend felt it was time there was a day dedicated to celebrating our hardworking bartenders of the morning,” says Michael McNulty, Country Manager for Australia and New Zealand Almond Breeze.

“There’s a reason Australia’s coffee scene is the best in the world and it’s down to the passionate and talented people who are driving it forward, so we want to give them a much-needed pat on the back through launching National Barista Day and we hope that the public really show their support.”
