Ethiopian Sidamo Chire Grade 1 Natural Tasting Notes

 

The Ethiopian Sidamo Chire Grade 1 Natural single origin coffee is known as an Ethiopian Heirloom coffee, which is processed using a Natural sundried method. This coffee is much more typical of what most consumers expect of African coffee, loaded with notes of blueberries and strawberries with a chocolate finish and a subtle acidity.

 

Brewing Recommendations for Ethiopian Sidamo Chire Grade 1 Natural

 

The Ethiopian Sidamo Chire Grade 1 Natural single origin coffee is a smooth and medium bodied coffee that works particularly well as an espresso or paper filter coffee, such as Pour Over. Milk will overwhelm flavour and is best as piccolo, adding a sweet creamy quality to the coffee. This coffee is particularly well suited to filter methods such as Pour Over and Chemex, really bringing out the berry qualities in the coffee.

The Ethiopian Sidamo Chire coffee has a medium body and an acidic but sweet flavour profile, with a strong blueberry and strawberry aroma and hints of smooth chocolate.

French Press Recipe 

 

The Ethiopian Sidamo Chire produces some strong fruity flavours in the French Press with more body and heaviness in the mouth than the other methods. The berry notes and mild acidity make this an easy drinking black coffee.

Pour Over Recipe 
 

 

The Ethiopian Sidamo Chire single origin works wonderfully as a pour over. It features a beautiful berries and chocoalte aroma with a bright but mild acidity and hints of blueberry and strawberry throughout. The acidity and sweetness intensifies as it cools, and has a clean finish.

Break: Break at 180g/1min

Temperature: 90 C

Bloom: 40g for 30 secs
